A man who died following a collision on the M1 in the early hours of Sunday morning (9 September) has been named as 24-year-old Frazer Gray.

Mr Gray, from Pelsall, Walsall, was the driver of a black Audi A3 which left the carriageway between junctions 20 and 21 in the parish of Dunton Bassett, Leicestershire.

His car came to rest on an embankment but when Mr Gray got out of the car, he was then involved in a collision with a silver Ford Fiesta.

He was taken to hospital where he subsequently died.

Anyone who saw the vehicle before or after the collision or who has dashcam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident 48 of 9 September.
