A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries in Leicester this year.

Joshua O’Gorman of The Wayne Way, Leicester, has been charged with five counts of burglary and one count of assault by beating and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday 14 September).

The charges relate to the following incidents:

  • Burglary at a service station at Flying Horse, Markfield, on 25 May

  • Burglary at a supermarket in Wicklow Drive, Leicester, on 25 May.

  • Burglary at a supermarket in Main Street, Evington, on 25 May.

  • Burglary at a shop in Barbara Avenue, Leicester, on 7 June.

  • Burglary at a service station in Dorset Road, Wigston, on 21 June.

  • Assault in Rowanberry Avenue, Leicester, on 4 July.
