Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed a disturbance in Leicester during the early hours of New Year’s Day to come forward.

Leicestershire Police received reports from people at addresses on Milligan Road, Denmark Road and Grace Road shortly after 1.40am that members of the public had been assaulted.

Officers spoke to 11 people who said they had been hurt in the incident.

The victims were left with injuries including lacerations, bruises, broken ribs and a broken nose.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen what happened.

Two 17-year-olds and a 16-year old were arrested on suspicion of affray and have since been released under investigation.
